Bonfire Night Fun and a Delicious Treacle Toffee Treat!
Bonfire Night is here — a much-loved British tradition filled with fireworks, warm scarves, and delicious homemade treats.
Celebrated every year on 5th November, Bonfire Night commemorates the Gunpowder Plot of 1605, when Guy Fawkes and his companions attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament. Thankfully, the plot was foiled, and since then, people across the UK have marked the event with bonfires, sparklers, and spectacular firework displays.
But no Bonfire Night would be complete without something sweet! One of our all-time favourite traditional treats is treacle toffee, also known as bonfire toffee. It’s dark, rich, and has that nostalgic crunch we all remember from childhood. The best part? It’s quick and easy to make.

We’ve found a fantastic recipe for you from BBC Food – simple, delicious, and perfect for sharing around the bonfire. You can find the recipe here Bonfire Treacle Toffee Recipe – BBC Food
